I bought this bike at the beginning of the summer, as a good-weather alternative commuter vehicle, and 4 months later I'm very pleased with it. It doesn't deliver a surge of power -- just gives you a gentle assist -- even my 76-year-old mother was able to use it without being alarmed. However, it got me up a very steep hill near us with no trouble. Everyone I've put on this bike loves it. You can use it as a regular bike if you want to, or get a little help if you need it.Pros: - Goes a LONG way on one charge -- it's supposed to get 30 miles to a charge, but I've done a lot more than that and nowhere near run down the battery. - Detachable battery pack, so you can easily bring it inside to charge if you haven't got an outlet in your garage. And it's lithium-ion, so you don't have to run down the battery before you can recharge. the battery pack locks on with a key. - Has a power on-off switch on the handlebar, so you can just pedal with no assist if you...
