I had a chance to take out the stepper for an hour ride and I have to say that I got a pretty good workout! Despite what you see on the stepper videos, it isnt as easy as it looks. You have to be pretty careful while using this bike and I wasnt able to freely use my hand when making hand signals. I suppose I will be able to do so safely when I am more confident. Another thing that troubled me was that I was unable to go up a hill while riding the bike. I am a pretty competent cyclist and have been riding for years but I had alot of difficulty making it up despite being in the 1st gear. The bike is pretty heavy, despite being aluminum and I cant imagine what it would be like to use the steel version. Aside from the troubles, I noticed that alot of people were pointing and saying "look at that!" It is definitely a conversation piece and everyone I passed either smiled, gave me a thumbs up or just yelled "I like it!". So I am happy thus far with my purchase. How often I will be able to...
